AuRIns, in collaboration with Ochre Pest Control, is undertaking a project on the development of standardized natural product-based mosquito fogging formulations. By harnessing bioactive compounds from natural sources, the initiative aims to produce formulations that are highly effective against mosquitoes while ensuring safety for humans and the environment. The development process follows WHO guidelines and complies with Pesticide Board registration standards, ensuring both scientific credibility and regulatory readiness. Led by Assoc Prof ChM Dr Fatimah Salim and supported by the Public-Private Research Network (PPRN), this project aspires to deliver a safe, sustainable, and eco-friendly mosquito control solution that supports public health and environmental responsibility.

SMART KJ Group, wholly owned by KY Global Sdn Bhd (established in 2014), is a diversified company with a strong focus on the MD2 pineapple industry. The Group operates through three subsidiaries: Smart KJ Agro (Asia) Plt, specializing in MD2 pineapple plantation in Changlun and Bukit Kayu Hitam; Smart KJTec (Asia) Plt, providing agrotech and consultancy services in precision fertilizers, biofertilizers, and high-value MD2 products; and Smart KJ Food Industries (Asia) Plt, which develops and manufactures downstream products from MD2 pineapples. In addition, SMART KJ Group collaborates with Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) on research into pineapple-derived bromelain for innovative health applications. Together, these entities drive innovation and sustainability in agriculture, technology, and food industries.
